Hotel Çelik Palas has been established in 1935 following the founder of Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk’s orders to build a thermal hotel in the city.

For its historical importance, the hotel is highly valued both by the local and the international community. The pictures taken during the construction at former times are exhibited on the aisle, where the main building and the historical part intersect.

Approaching the 1950s, in order to answer the increasing needs of the market, a new building was developed next to the existing one and began to operate in 1953. Therefore the hotel consists of two connecting buildings with the capacity of 156 rooms in total.
